SolarCan

The solar can, Invented by Sam Cornwell is basically a pinhole camera made from a can wit ha hole in the front and photographic paper inside. This type of image making is used to track the suns path, and can produce some beautiful results as seen here with a six month exposure, found on the Solarcan website.

So here is one of my own solar cans which is only  a  few weeks exposure in the winter (ie not much sun)

This is a very effective and simple form of image making and it works fantastically, even with room to play as you can see from the movement of the can causes repeat and overlapping sun trails.
