mcmanus gallery

after a long long tiring drive to Dundee, and after a rest my boyfriend surprised me with a day out to the Mcmanus art gallery and museum. this was fantastic because they have an exhibition on Matisse, Picasso, Dali and Warhol prints. including Matisse' famouse nude lithographs, some work by picasso i had never seen and some prints from his blue period, which i loved! and the french railway posters by Dali and the infamous Marilyn monroe print s by Andy Warhol. this was amoung many more, it was incredible tyo see these peices of art in real life rather than on a screen or in a book! there is no point in putting copies of what was there because it wouldn't do them justice.
my boyfriend who had been already with his university told me about this artist he found interesting that "draws with tress" i didnt know who or what he meant but it was Tim Knowles whi creates drawings by attaching pens to banches and lets the wind move the trees to creat the drawing. it was pretty ineresting. this is the piece that was on display.
